History
Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 49 (the “District”) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, created pursuant to an order of the Texas Water Commission, now known as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and governed by Chapters 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, as amended. The District was created to provide water, sanitary sewer and drainage facilities to the approximately 187 acres within its boundaries, all of which lie within Fort Bend County and the City of Missouri City. The District is located approximately 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston in Fort Bend County and is located approximately six miles southeast of the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Texas State Highway 6. The District is bordered by Oyster Creek and Palmer Plantation Municipal Utility District No. 1 on the north and Highway 6 on the south and west. The entire District lies within the City of Missouri City.
